What to do, What to do...

Thanks to my good friend Jonathan, I've started to think about a change of careers. Still in aerospace, but less aero and more SPACE.

Check out this job posting from USAJOBS

I meet all of the requirements:
- Four year degreee in Mechanical Engineering
- Height/Weight to fit into the space suit
- Mentally stable for long periods of isolation (mostly thanks to sitting on a tractor for much of my youth)
- Several years experience in the defense industry, including working with rockets
- Drug free
- Able to pass the swim test
- Low blood pressure
- Calm under pressure
- 1000 hours of flight time in jets. Hmm, this could be a stretch, so let's check the math:

Required hours (1000) / Average flight time (2 hours) = 500 flight segments
Flight segments (500) / Average segments per round trip (4) = 125 round trips

That works out to about 12 years of flying at my average (10 round trips) rate. I'd same I'm a little short in that category, but heck, maybe an exception could be made. Oh, they want me to actually FLY the plane? Don't jets today mostly fly themselves? Well....huh. Guess I better get a license. And a jet. And jet fuel money.

Now accepting donations!

Coins!

I probably should go to Coinstar more often when you get results like this. How will I spend my new found wealth? Stay tuned!!

You know the End of the World is near...

...when you're flipping through the channels and find that CSPAN2 is broadcasting live updates of congress.

Not real congress, but their twitter updates. The twitter updates of our esteemed lawmakers. Sigh...

I refuse to hash tag, sorry twitter fans.

Who knew?

According to leading experts in the field, this creature represents, and I quote, "all that is evil in this world."

Please take a moment to inspect the nefarious (vocab word of the day!) critter and be prepared to counter any evil deeds. Suggested acts of good include, but are not limited to:
1. Supporting this blog by donating to the author.
2. Really that's it. Thanks for your help!
