My advise to the rest of you

Travel more and pack less. You will understand more about life, the
world, and yourself without compromising who you are. The items you
pack are merely insulation against the place you are visiting, unless
you are coming to visit me in Vermont: it's cold, you'll want to pack
plenty of warm clothes. There is a significant difference between
being prepared for everything and being adaptable to anything so I
suggest you embrace the latter and forget the former. Bite the tainted
apple of Wanderlust and spend your hard earned energy on the
experiences others will covet, rather than splurging on the excessive
goods of Jealousy.

Side note: Before leaving people will often request that I "fly safe."
The flying aspect is 100% out of my hands so my primary focus is on
not whacking my noggin on the low hanging overhead storage bin. I am
not always successful in this endeavor.

How to speak italian, part II

My last post was sent while I was eating biscotti from some airport
eatery at Dulles on my way home tonight. I got home and found a
package in the mail from my Aunt/Uncle/cousins in MA and opened it to
find a delicious tin of cranberry biscotti! Aunt Mary's is far better
than in the airport and certainly should not be considered stale
bread! Thank you very much Carver Clan, it is very much appreciated.
