Fun on Two Wheels

So here's a picture of my first motorcycle, the blue one in the foreground, and my second motorcycle in lime green. The first was a 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 that Drew, my two wheeling cohort, and I received for free from our friend Travis. What a nice guy Travis was to give us this awesome shiny looking motorcycle! Joke was on us, the thing didn't run and Drew and I spent a good $500 to get it running. By "running" I simply mean that one of us would ride the bike and the other would follow at a safe distance in my truck.

Best part was that it would only run on 3 of 4 cylinders, but every once in a while, with a great bang, the fourth cylinder would fire and the thing would take off like a raped ape. Scary stuff, but it was a good bike upon which to learn.

Ended up selling this bike to my co-worker Andy.  The picture you see here is actually from after when I sold it to him. Man, his wife was not so happy with me when I dropped that thing off at his house, but I think she's over it by now.

Disclaimer

This site is 98% me spouting off at the mouth and 2% heresy. No one should attempt any sort of foolishness like attempting to repeat anything you read about here. If you do attempt (and fail) and want to sue me, too bad. I know this sounds like a lame disclaimer, but honestly, don't try this stuff at home or someone else's home for that matter. And, if you are a law enforcement official reading this blog, well, I didn't do it, any of it. Pure work of fiction!

That being said...

On to the show!

The setup?I don't know anything about a setup...

You'll be able to read periodic updates about what sort of gasoline powered excitement I've been getting myself into as well as read about some of my past and current cylinder acquisitions and destructions.
